Antecedente

During the pandemic, we were challenged to improve the situation of the residences, which were suffering a very extreme situation due to the vulnerability of the residents and the risk of the workers.

Have a system that would allow having the insights about him use and best before date of some devices biomedical use such as respirators, cardiac monitors, etc... and other non-sanitary use, such as air conditioning units, microwaves, ovens, etc... became a project to be developed in a residence in Vilafranca.

Solution

With all the data obtained, a Artificial Intelligence model which helped plan the ventilation in some of the rooms of the residence, based on the activities, the number of people and the weather. This allowed the center's management to apply measures to improve the air quality of the critical areas of the residence.

It was also discovered the sleep quality of residents who used respirators and improvement was achieved thanks to a second study, on the oxygenation level.

This project, endorsed by the College of Engineers of Vilanova i la Geltru and developed with the collaboration of the Inglada Via residence, was presented to the local media on last 11/02/2022.
